Football team Christmas party!

On our last training session before Christmas (Friday 19th December,) we will be having a Christmas party for the team. Timings will be the same as normal (3.45pm - 4.45pm)
Children will not need their football kit this week, but may bring shorts/t-shirt to change into as we will be indoors and active!

The week before, all children will be receiving a plate and are asked to bring it
to my classroom (RM) on the morning of Friday 19th with the food that they will be eating at the party.

We will be having some food, music and games to say well done to all the team for an excellent start to the season.
Merry Christmas and lets hope that we can keep up the momentum for next season!

Next training session..

Our next training session will be on Friday 5th December at the usual time 3.45pm - 4.45pm. We will be starting some work on the skill of 'shooting.' As usual we will spending the last 15 minutes of the session with a match.

Now that the evenings are getting colder, please bring something warm to wear over your kit. If it is raining we will do some work inside, but it is best if we can get outside as much as possible each session.

Thank-you

Mr. Merchant

Next training session...

Our next training session will be on Friday 28th November at the usual time of 3.45pm - 4.45pm.

As it is now becoming colder of an evening, children may wear a tracksuit over their kit for training, if they wish.

See you Friday!

Throw-ins

This week and last week we practised our throw-ins. We learnt that there are two types of throw-ins - the Short throw-in and the Long throw-in.

We learnt that these are the most important things to remember when performing a throw in:

- Both feet must be on the ground when the ball is thrown.

- Hands must be directly over the head
- The ball must be thrown straight (without spinning)

- Bring the ball back so it is over and behind your head.

- Throw the ball to your team-mate making sure it doesn’t spin left or right.

- The ball must come from directly over the top of the head.

If the above is not followed in a match, then the throw-in will be awarded to the other team!

You can continue to practice your short and long throw-ins at home - either in your garden or at the park.

Remember practice makes perfect! Good luck!

Next training session

Training will be back to Friday as usual next week, so the next training session will be on Friday 21st November.

Due to popular demand we will now be having a short 15 minute match between each other at the end of each session!

Look forward to seeing you then!

Our next training session will be next Wednesday 12th November at the usual time of 3.45pm - 4.45pm. This is because we have the Children in Need sleepover on Friday.

Just a reminder that if you cannot attend training for any reason please let me know beforehand.

Thankyou.
